RANT: Acne & Diet

 

Recently, I had a client join my acne bootcamp program to finally get her skin clear after she’s tried it all: proactiv, derm prescriptions, accutane, apple cider vinegar, you name it she’s tried it.  

We went through EVERYTHING together.

I’m talking lifestyle, diet, medications, supplements, homecare, mindset, etc.

She asked me what my clearance rate was and if this program really works.

“I have a 90% clearance rate when you do everything I tell you to do.”

She signed up on the spot.

A month goes by and she’s not doing everything I told her to do. 

Now, her skin is looking much better than when she first came in, but that’s not the point.

She doesn’t believe diet really affects her acne.

I just about exploded inside in my head.

OF COURSE DIET AFFECTS ACNE, YOUR SKIN, AND HEALTH!!!!

Let me tell you something.

If the food you put in your mouth had NO AFFECT on your health, than you wouldn’t gain weight from eating boxes of chocolates every day.

You wouldn’t develop diabetes from that years down the road.

You wouldn’t get scurvy from not getting enough vitamin c in your food.

You wouldn’t get more energy from drinking your cup of coffee in the morning.

You wouldn’t feel sleepy after eating a bowl full of carbs.

You wouldn’t get tipsy after a couple glasses of wine.

You wouldn’t get heart disease from eating bacon three times a day.

I know what you’re thinking.

“Those have caffeine or alcohol in them that are proven to affect you or it takes years to clog your arteries from all that bacon. How is that causing my acne when I’m only in my mid 20’s?”

The same reason why some people are born diabetics.

The same reason why some are alcoholics by 25.

The same reason why some people are allergic to certain foods.

You, as an acne sufferer, can be just genetically born to be affected by foods non-acne sufferers can eat without breaking out.

The point is, EVERYTHING you eat affects you.

It either affects you now or it affects you later.

The BEST results from my Acne Bootcamp always come from people who do every single thing I tell them to do. 

I’ve gotten people clear in as little as two weeks and as long as 6 months after YEARS of getting nowhere. 

Just give it a shot for 3-6 months.
